Anna Fiegen creates prints and paintings that influence one another. Her works often reference brutalist architecture, devoid of human presence, evoking a range of emotional responses in the viewer—from longing to solitude.
Each impression of the linocut angeschmolzen is slightly different. At times, the light blue area that transitions from the sky into the building appears monochrome; at others, it is irregular, recalling clouds. The artist printed the edition in three stages using the reduction linocut process, resulting in three variations of the motif.
