FAQ

What is an edition?

An edition refers to a limited number of identical works, each work being numbered and signed by the artist.

Which number will I receive?

We generally ship editions based on availability. The number you receive is therefore random. However, if you have a specific number in mind, please contact us at hallo@foxeditionberlin.com to check its availability. We'll do our best to accommodate you!

Is it possible that the print run will be increased later and additional editions will be produced?

No. For the editions we distribute, the print run is fixed before the first sale and is not increased.

What are A.P.s?

A.P. stands for Artist's Proof and refers to additional prints/copies of a work of art that are not for sale but are reserved for the artist. A.P.s are not numbered but are marked with "A.P.," sometimes also "E.A." (for épreuve d'artiste).

When will new editions be released?

New editions come about through direct and personal contact with the artists. This process cannot be precisely planned. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when new editions are available.

Why don't you offer a framing service?

Framing a single artwork is a complex and highly individual process. It depends on the artwork itself, the buyer's taste, and the intended display location. We are happy to provide advice and contacts to frame makers, but we cannot handle the framing process for you. (Exception: Sometimes, usually due to the fragility of the individual edition, there are editions that are only available framed. In these cases, the artist undertakes the framing themselves.)

When will my order be shipped?

Your order will usually be packed and shipped within five business days of receiving payment. It should then arrive two to four business days later.

I don't live in Germany, can I still order from you?

We typically offer shipping to Germany and the EU. In individual cases, we are happy to check whether we can also deliver to your location outside the EU – please contact us directly.
